Welcome to the website of Trollnet!
Academic staff of any nationality employed at HEIs in the participating countries may be awarded a Nordplus grant for exchanges in another Nordic or Baltic country.
Teacher mobility takes into account the participating universities’ economic and academic/subject related resources. Teachers receiving the Nordplus grant and travel contributions receive their salary from their home institutions. Visiting teachers/lecturers teach and give lectures according to prior agreement . As teacher exchanges are planned, the content of lectures as well as the extent of teaching is agreed upon prior to the exchange. Teaching includes both theoretical and/or clinical/practical work, and can also include negotiations concerning joint projects or other kinds of preparation for cooperation (minimum requirement 8 hours teaching/working) .
Network members are convinced that the experience that teachers gain by way of exchanges is important professionally, but also inspires teachers to motivate and inspire students and other staff to take part in Trollnet mobility.
One of the most important aspects of teacher exchanges is learning from each other. Teacher mobility provides opportunities to share about the core competencies of each participating institution, allowing for institutional development. It also offers possibilities for the individual teacher's professional and personal development.
